Many managers succeeded in handling other people because they had developed and modified a special sense or and with remarkable detachment with the work. They learned to wait for the right time with objective reality and explore the right way in doing their job. They looked at the entire work situation, focusing their attention at the management process. Necessity had taught them to be calm and purposely, without hiding their desires and highly personal qualities.
While management is a means to end, and not an end in itself, to many managers, there’s only one way of doing things in the organizations, the management way, which , then, as later, they measured and found to be wanting in attaining organizational goals. Many things will fall into place once management has corrected its errors. But it will be?
As an organization becomes more complex, the management of the organization becomes more complex the management of the organization becomes complicated, too. Thus, management has become entangled in an insolvable contradictions with itself.
